Focal is an eye practice and an independent frame shop under one roof. Thorough 30-minute exams by doctors who don't rush, opticians who fuss over the fit, and a frame wall worth browsing even with perfect eyes.
Kids too. We examine children from age five. We're quick, we're patient, and creeping myopia gets caught early here.
Screens, headaches, medications, your family's eyes. We start by listening, because half of what matters never shows up on a chart.
The famous one-or-two part. We go slowly, verify twice, and nobody minds if you ask to see number one again.
A wide digital photo of your retina, most visits without dilation drops. We look at it together on a big screen.
A gentle tonometer reading to screen for glaucoma. The startling air puff retired years ago. We don't miss it either.
What we saw, what it means, and what, if anything, to do next. You leave understanding your own eyes, not holding a mystery printout.
Six independent makers each season, in small runs. Nothing you'll see on every third face at the coffee shop.

Sharp acetates in colors that read as neutral until the light hits.
Featherweight round wires with hinges you can feel working.
Workwear for faces. Sturdy, honest, better with age.
The quiet Scandinavian ones everyone tries on first.
Hand-polished Japanese acetate. The fancy ones. Worth it.
Cat-eyes and collector shapes for the brave.
Our opticians are licensed and a little fussy, in the good way. They adjust your frames until they sit right, then keep adjusting them free for as long as you own them.
Bring an outside prescription. We truly don't mind. Come for the wall, and the fitting is on us.
If row four just went soft, that's not a design flaw. It's the part where you book the exam.
Book an examScreens halve your blink rate, and by late afternoon your eyes feel like sandpaper. We treat dry eye properly, from drops that actually work to heat treatments and plugs.
Diabetes shows up in the retina before you feel a thing. An annual imaging exam takes twenty minutes here, and your physician gets our report the same day.
The drifting speck you've had for years? Shrug. A sudden shower of new floaters, flashes of light, or a dark curtain in your vision? Call us today. We hold slots for exactly this.
Medical insurance covers medical visits: dry eye, diabetic exams, the scary-floater day. We'll bill the right one.
A complete 30-minute exam, imaging included, for $129. No surprise add-ons at the desk.
Frames start at $95. Most of the wall lives between $180 and $320, and the hand-polished Japanese acetates top out around $520. Lenses are quoted in writing before we order anything.
